January Simplex Event – WinterHeat 2021

The Central Illinois Hams sponsor an operating event called WinterHeat 2021. This event runs from January 1, 2021 to Jan 31, 2021. This is the second year of this event and this year it includes the surrounding states around Illinois.

The purpose of this event is to make as many FM voice contacts on the VHF/UHF simplex frequencies. The modes can be analogue FM, D-Star, Fusion, or DMR using posted simplex frequencies. No repeater contacts are allowed.

Logging the contacts is provided for on their website. You have to register for the event to get access to their logging program.
